Dr. Yamuna Gurrapu, MD – Frisco, TX

Dr. Gurrapu is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Obesity Medicine with 15+ years of experience proudly serving the state of Texas.

Dr. Gurrapu has been working as a hospitalist at major hospitals in the DFW metroplex – Presbyterian Plano, Medical Center of McKinney, Baylor Carrollton and Harris Methodist in Fort worth. Dr.Gurrapu is a patient-centric physician who works diligently to provide the best comprehensive care to her patients. Dr. Gurrapu won several awards for the quality of patient care including the “most courteous Physician” award at Baylor Carrollton.

For her consistent outstanding services, Dr.Gurrapu was selected to the prestigious “Physicians Lead” program by Texas Health Resources (THR). Dr.Gurrapu has served in multiple committees in Baylor Carrollton and Texas Health Resources hospitals. She had served on the medical board in Presbyterian hospital, Plano and is actively serving in the credentialing committee for Texas Health Resources ensuring high quality standards for new physicians towards better patient care.

Dr. Gurrapu completed her residency at Texas Tech University of Health Sciences (TTUHSC) working in both Midland Memorial Hospital and MCH, Odessa Hospital serving the Permian Basin. Dr. Gurrapu completed her board certification in Obesity Medicine from American Board of Obesity Medicine.

With the vision of enabling better health and empowering the communities, Dr.Gurrapu co-founded North Texas Medical Clinic in 2016 and founded North Texas Med360 Clinic in 2019 to serve North Texas communities.

Dr. Gurrapu lives in Frisco with her husband and her two sons. She likes painting, dancing and all-organic gardening in her spare time.
